Winnie Juanita Vandall
Born September 19, 1927, at Meadow Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Summers and Lou Forren Gwinn.
Winnie was a 1944 graduate of Sandstone High School. She worked for People's Manufacturing and G.C. Murphy Company. Winnie was a member of the Lane Church of Christ. Winnie always had a hug, a sweet smile, and a huge meal for anyone who came by her house. She was loved by so many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cecil (Tom) Vandall; son David (Harpo) Vandall; daughter Diana L. Harrah; 2 brothers Paul (Helen) Gwinn and Jim (Pat) Gwinn; and 2 sisters Janice Gwinn and Macil Faye Gwinn.
Survivors include 1 son Dale Vandall (Glenda) of Meadow Bridge; 2 daughters Sandra Gwinn (Roger) of Lockbridge and Kathy Gill (Tommy) of Great Mills, Maryland; 1 sister Minnie Vandall of Hinton; 2 brothers George and Jess Gwinn, both of Florida; 1 son-in-law Roger Harrah of Meadow Bridge; 1 daughter-in-law Patty Vandall of Meadow Bridge; 11 grandchildren April Hope, Donna Ware, J.E. Gwinn, Wayne Vandall, Jodi Falk, Shannon Plumley, Kevin Gwinn, Lee Anna Suggs, Andrea Wickline, Ashley Gill Boas, and Brittany Gill; 17 great-grandchildren Zoe Kirk, Riley Kirk, Cameron Ware, Tyler Vandall, Jessica Toney, Jenna McClanahan, Dylan Vandall, Jennifer Gwinn, Hannah Vandall, Abigail Gwinn, Meredith Gwinn, Lillian Claypool, Hunter Claypool, Case Wickline, Zachary Boas, Adam Falk, and Jasmine Falk; 1 great-great-grandchild Lawson Newman; best friends Imogene Wickline and the "Murphy Girls"; and a special friend and caregiver Peggy Grimmett.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, in the Laurel Branch Bible Church, Meadow Bridge, with Pastor Robby Shorter and Pastor Mike Nutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wickline Cemetery at Meadow Bridge.
Friends may call two hours before the service from 12 - 2 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Gwinn, Wayne Vandall, Bryan Plumley, Brandon Wickline, Scott Boas, Hunter Claypool, Dylan Vandall, and Tyler Vandall. Honorary pallbearers are J.E. Gwinn, Greg Vandall, and Riley Kirk.
