Brian Dean Johnson, age 47, of Beckley, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, following a sudden illness.
Born on March 10, 1970, in New Jersey, he was the son of Denver "Dean" Johnson and Judy Kay Halstead Johnson of Beckley.
Brian was a carpenter and had lived most of his life in the Beckley area. He enjoyed fishing and watching football, especially the New York Giants.
In addition to his parents, Dean and Judy Kay Johnson, survivors include his children, Makayla Johnson and Mathew Johnson, both of Beckley; a granddaughter, Nicole Johnson; one sister, Melissa Hoag and husband, Raymond, of Beaver, and two nephews, Carson and Trevor.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Brian Dean Johnson on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the Prosperity Community Center from 2 PM to 4 PM.
