Deborah Kay Owens, 64, of Marie, died at home, on July 11, 2017, following a long illness.
Born at Pence Springs, December 18, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Emma Eggleston Fox.
She was a graduate of Stafford County Virginia High School, and was a retired Supervisor of Crew Management with CSX Transportation. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church at Forest Hill, and enjoyed shopping, traveling, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Owens, a son Chad Knott, one brother, Richard Fox, and a sister, Ailene Edwards.
Survivors include a son Gary Owens Jr. of Blackshear, GA, and two daughters, Christy Rouse, of Waycross, GA, and Heather Morsford, of Hamilton, GA, and a brother-in-law, George "Sonny" Edwards, of Marie. Nine grandchildren, Aspen Harvey, of Roanoke, VA, Stephen and Brayden Owens of Blackshear, GA, Alex, Brandon, and Andrew Morford, of Hamilton, GA, Paige, Joshua, and Christopher Rouse, of Waycross, GA, also survive.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Debbie's caregivers, Amy, Cassia and Stacy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, in Hinton, with Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at the Elk Knob Church Cemetery, at Elk Knob.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 pm until time of service on Saturday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church, Forest Hill.
