Frank Matthew Durham, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, September 24, 201, at home in Fayetteville.
Born on April 2, 1938 in Clay County, he was the son of the late Howard Orris and Zella Frances Legg Durham.
Mr. Durham was a disabled American veteran. He enjoyed wood burning, building model cars, and latch hooking.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Durham; sister, Anna Jean Vance, and infant twin brothers, John and James Durham.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Lane Webb Durham; two daughters: Joyce Lynn Durham Bragg and husband, James of Oak Hill, and Cyndi Garrett and husband Carl of Clifftop; stepdaughters: Wanda Crain of NY, Wanette Rookstool and husband Bill of Oak Hill, and Wanita Mitchell and husband, John of Louisiana. Also, surviving Mr. Durham is his childhood friend, Bobby "Beaver" Lazarso of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
