Text size

Inge Antonie Elisabeth Siebert Harrell, 83, of Edmond, WV, passed away at her home, Tuesday,
September 19, 2017.
Born December 20, 1933, in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Jakob Siebert and Henriette Klara Woerner Siebert.
Inge was bombed out three times during World War II and helped to hide her disabled brother from the Nazi regime. Inge was a member of the Lookout Baptist Church at Lookout.
The oldest of 8 children, she is preceded in death by her parents and 3 of her siblings; Gunter Siebert, Hans Siebert, and Anneliese Kellers. In 1957, she met an American soldier, LeRoy Harrell, who was stationed in Hanau, Germany. They fell in love and were married in October 1958. In December, he brought her home to Lookout, WV, and the open arms of his family. They bought his father's Southern States store in 1960 and ran Harrell's Farm Supply until they retired in 1996.
They raised three daughters; Deborah Wise, of Morgantown, WV, Teresa Martin (Howard) of Morgantown, WV, and Cynthia Hawley (Dennis) of Charleston, WV. and one son, Steven Harrell of Lookout, WV. Inge had seven grandchildren; Candice Redd (Julian), Amy, Jakob, Samuel, Megan and Kimberly, all of Morgantown, WV, and Jesse of Charleston, WV. Four great grandchildren Lilyan, Josephine, Julian Jr. and Noah of Morgantown. All called her Schatzie, which is a German word for a treasure. She is also survived by three sisters; Lieselotte Kuellner, Christa Edel and Hannelore Marie Luise Klein, all of Germany and on brother Klaus Dieter Siebert of Germany. This only begins to describe a special lady that was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
The Harrell family appreciates all those who visited and the special ones that made meals over the last months. A very special thanks to Megan, for her care and gentle touch over the last months. The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Southern WV Hospice especially Cindy, Connie and Tammy for the loving care and compassion they provided.
