Ira's Story

Ira Travis Tincher, 98, of Collinsville, Virginia formerly of Rainelle passed away on July 28, 2017 in Collinsville.
Born on October 27, 1918 at Crag, he was the son of the late Malcom and Mary Burns Tincher.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Monna Alice Tincher in 2001; sisters, Eva and Faye, brothers, Harry, Roy, Joe, Curtis and Leonard.
Travis was a member of Stanleytowns Amazing Grace Baptist Church, former member of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle, member of the VFW John Page Post # 4484, a retired foreman of B. and B. Department of the C and O Railway Company and a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors are a daughter, Nadine Allen; 2 grandchildren, LeAnn Essoukani and Kevin Allen; 4 great grandchildren, Andrew Thacker, Adam Essoukani, Seth Allen, and Heather Allen; great great grandchildren, Jason Thacker and Sadie Elizabeth Thacker (expected October 2017) and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rupert with Pastor David Bush officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call at the chapel from 11:00 until time of service.
