Lee's Story

Lee Houchins, 76, of Ansted, passed away at his home Sunday, July 9, 2017.
Mr. Houchins was born September 26, 1940 in Rupert, WV, to the late Clarence and Catherine Houchins. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one grandchild Caitlin and a brother Jerry Houchins.
Mr. Houchins graduated from Rupert High School and was a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center in Hico. He was retired from the U S Army in which he served 3 tours in Vietnam and was a Military Police. He also retired from the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Ansted, 4 daughters Robin Brown/Brent, Kathy Decker/ Mike, Christina Heindl/ Sclater and Bonnie O'Neal; 1 son Joshua Howell/Amanda; 8 Grandchildren Tori, Sclater IV, Megan, Caleb, Isaiah, Isabella, Christina and Kelly. He is also survived by one great grandchild Adalynn. He is survived 1 brother Kenny Houchins.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday July 13, 2017 at 2 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ansted with Pastor James Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor with Military Honors. Friends may call from 1 - 2 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
