Luella's Story

Luella Ildean Hornsby, age 96, of West Milton, OH, formerly of Beckley, WV, went home to be with the Lord on September, 12, 2017.
Luella was born on January 5, 1921, to parents Julia Brevard Taylor and Emerson Taylor in Green Sulphur Springs, WV.
During her life, Luella was a homemaker and devoted caregiver. Luella was a devout Christian all her days and enjoyed Sunday services at the West Milton Church of the Nazarene.
Luella moved to Ohio in her later years to be with her daughter, Julia, and close family.
Luella loved to stay active. She was a kind, caring soul who loved everyone she met. Luella was inseparable from her devoted daughter in her later years and they enjoyed numerous times together.
Luella was preceded in death by her son, Billy Creaig; her twin sister, Lura Durham; her brother, Emerson C. Taylor; her mother, Julia Taylor Egnor and father Emerson E. Taylor; stepfather, Talmer Egnor and husband, Jack Creaig.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Julia Belliard; grandsons, Michael Pace (Kristy), Curtis Pace (Carla), Jack Creaig; great grandchildren, Hailey Pace and Zachary Walls; numerous relatives and friends and special friends, Marvin Pace, Kristy Sykes and Carla Campbell.
To those of us who knew her she was the brightest light in our lives. A life that touched others goes on forever.
Funeral services are to be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV, on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 12 PM with Pastor Gary Durham officiating and special remarks by Marvin Pace. Burial is to be followed at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Prosperity, WV. Friends and family to visit from 11 AM until the time of the service.
