Nora Pearl Bolen Weeks, age 92, of Coal City, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at 11 PM at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born on January 30, 1925, at Odd, she was the daughter of the late James Nelson Bolen and Nora Virginia Meadows Bolen.
Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She loved gardening, playing the guitar and singing, which she had written several songs.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weeks was preceded in death by her husband,
Clifford Maurice Weeks, an infant son, Jerry David Weeks, and by all of her
brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Dreama Lilly and husband, William of Sanford, NC, Wanita Carol Weeks of Sophia, Deborah Eileen Tucker and husband, Ricky, of Midway, Johnnie Clifford Weeks of Coal City, Deneice Beckelhimer and husband, Toby, of Statesville, NC, and Joseph Nelson Weeks and wife, Tammie Jo Pompie Weeks, of Coal City; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1 PM with Rev. Damon Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Hannah Lilly Cemetery at Odd, WV.
Friends may visit with the family from 7 until 9 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Nick Weeks, Michael and Toby Beckelhimer, Tim Lilly, Earl Lilly and Denny Shrewsbury.
