Paul David Gwinn, 80, of Lockbridge, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, at his home following a sudden illness.
Born April 13, 1937, at Hinton, he was the son of the late Elmer and Thelma Bailey Gwinn.
Paul owned and operated Anchor Cleaning Contractors in Cleveland, Ohio. He loved farming, singing in church and helping others. He was a member of the Maplewood Chapel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Steward and Doug Gwinn; and 3 sisters Joyce, Joann, and Tootsie.
Survivors include loving wife of 22 years, Doris Peters Gwinn; 2 sons Ronald Gwinn (Cynthia) of Lockbridge and Pete Gwinn of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 1 daughter Kathie Gwinn of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 2 step daughters Sandra Thorne of Cleveland, Ohio and Joyce Wilson (Johnny) of Brunswick, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. Monday, August 21, in the Maplewood Chapel, with Pastor Gary Claypool officiating.
The family will greet friends one hour before the service from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
