Roscoe Brown, 85 of Lester, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 24th.
Roscoe was the son of the late Mabel and Lloyd Brown of Lester and brother to the late Edith May, Harold, and Willard Brown.
He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Ruby Brown. He was the loving father of Melissa Loggins and her husband Howard of Amigo, Darrell Brown and his wife Patricia of Glen Daniel, as well as his late son Carlos Brown. Roscoe was a loving Grandpa to 7 grandchildren; Keith Brown, Micheal Brown, Laurie Wooden, Ronitta Brown, April Sauls, Patrick Loggins, and Tiffany Brown. Roscoe also was the Great-Grandpa to Nikki Brown in addition to 13 other great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Roscoe was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served honorably in the Korean War. Roscoe loved his country, his family, country music, and running the roads in his latest new vehicle to get the mail, shop, and to grab a McDonald's cheeseburger.
Roscoe's body will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in a private entombment ceremony.
