Beckley - Alice Norine Ball, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 16, 2026, at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of the late Denzel Lloyd Roberts and Nellie Marie Roberts.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Shirley "Moe" Ball, her sister Rita Pack and her brother Denzel Lloyd "Boonie" Roberts, Jr.

She is survived by her three children: Shirley Ann (Kenneth) Meadows of Pluto Road, WV, Rick (Lori) Ball of Beckley, WV, and Steve (Angie) Ball of Fincastle, VA. She is also survived by three granddaughters: Olivia, Lesleigh, and Amelia Ball, and a sister Frances Poland of Beckley, WV. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Alice shares her July 4 birthday with her granddaughter Lesleigh. Alice was born in 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia, and she grew up in Skelton, West Virginia.

Alice graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1961, and shortly thereafter she began her working career at the New River Company Store. She later worked at Sears until retirement.

Alice enjoyed reading a good book and watching sports with her family. In her younger years she enjoyed playing sports, and her favorite was always volleyball. She also spent many years running the concession stand at Beckley Little League.

Alice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a long-time member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church.

A visitation and a funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Maxwell Hill Baptist Church, with the visitation scheduled from 12:00-2:00 PM and a funeral service scheduled at 2:00 PM. Private burial will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV.

Memorial donations can be made to Maxwell Baptist Church in memory of Alice.
