Alice Ruth Edwards Jones Boring, 97, of Princeton, entered into her eternal rest Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2020 at home.

Born September 16, 1923 at True, she was the daughter of the late Harden and Stella Canterbury Edwards.

She graduated from Hinton High School, worked for several years as caregiver to Mr. & Mrs. Ferrell's twins in Princeton who owned Ferrell's Diner. She then went to work at the Celanese Plant in Pearisburg, VA. While her health permitted, she loved to quilt and crochet. The most important thing in Alice's life, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family. Alice devoted several years to Cooks Chapel Missionary Circle where she was a member. Alice is a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Jones, second husband Theodore Boring and her

beloved son, Michael Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory, grandsons, Sean Jones (Jackie), FL, Michael Jones, LA; Matthew David Jones, TX ;

Granddaughter Niki, of TX;

Two step-daughters, Tina Coyle and Marilyn Tupper both of Ohio;

Great-grandsons, Bradly Jones of FL and Ed Boring (Heidie), NC;

Two sisters, Betty Ellison of True and Stella Falvo of Princeton where she made her home;

Special niece, Donna Bear of OH along with several other nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Private services will be held for Mrs. Boring from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Marvin Mills officiating. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Mausoleum in Akron, OH.

Due to the Governor's mandate, masks and social distancing, will be observed. Those who are unable to attend the funeral can view her services thru webcasting on our website.
