Betty Ann Akers, 76 of Creamery, WV died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born in Beeson, WV February 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Letha Cline Akers. Betty was an active member of the Flint Chapel Baptist Church in Creamery, WV where she served as President of the American Baptist Women's Ministry, Secretary-Treasurer of the Sunday School and as the "Love Gift" Coordinator. In addition to her parents five brothers, James, Lloyd, Kenny, Frank, and Doug Akers along with two sisters, Alice Glattfelder and Edna Akers, preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Frank F. Comi of Alderson; one daughter, Angela M. Huffman and husband Michael of Wayside, WV; two grandchildren, Justin Lee Huffman and Lauren Comi Davis and husband Luke; great-granddaughter, Lyla Kate Davis and two sisters, Edith Sweeney, and husband Bob of Freedonia, KS and Fonda Stengel and husband Mike of Talcott, WV. Graveside services followed by burial will be 2:00PM Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Campground Cemetery in Wayside, WV with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund C/O Rita Barker Martin, 6195 Johnsons Crossroad, Wayside, WV 24985.
