Calvin Jefferson Bickford, 93, of Oak Hill, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Margaret Sally Bickford on Monday, August 20, 2018.
Born August 1, 1925 in Page, WV he was the son of the late Ashby and Annie Kelly Bickford.
He was a retired railroad yardsmans. He was a veteran in the United States Army, and served, fought, and survived in WWII. He will be sadly missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Thresa Bickford Day (Charles), Nina Bickford Dillon (Earl); son, Calvin Bickford (Lorie); sister, Mazie Shrewsbury; brother, Freddie Eugene Bickford; six grandchildren, Amanda Bennett (Steve), Cory Day, Megan Osborne, Tyler Bickford, Alexis Bickford, and Evan Dillon; six greatgrandchildren, Lane Osborne, Ryleigh Osborne, Ava Castle, Brantly Castle, Kayleigh Bennett, and Hallie Bennett. We will cherish your memory in our hearts we love you.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, with Rev. Randy Sunderland officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may calll the funeral home one hour prior to service.
