Carl Yeilding Reed Obituary

West Virginia - Carl Yeilding Reed, 93, of Pineville, passed away on October 2, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

He retired at 65 from Orders Construction Company of St. Albans and was a member of The United Steelworkers of America. He only knew of one way to work and that was to give it his all.

Being of the Baptist faith, he was a very humble, devout man with a very strong moral character. He loved playing games with anyone who would accept his challenge, as he usually won.

His parents were Wiley Reed and Cleo Loudermilk Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Booher Reed; brothers, Wiley, Harley, Marvin, Dathan, Wilfred and Lloyd; sister, Virginia; and granddaughter Starla. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Bonnie (Bob) Frame of Harpers Ferry, Deborah (Roger) Stewart of Pineville; and sons Kevin (Dana) Reed of Pineville, and Philip Reed of Martinsburg. He was a loving grandfather to Heather Frame, Roger Stewart II, Christi (Neil) Bentley, Anthony Stewart, Kristina Redman, Emily Reed, and Kristin Reed, and three grandchildren by marriage, Jessica Cline, Justin Cline, and Jason Cline. Great grandchildren are Ebone (Storme) Frame, Chandler Turpin, Courtney Stewart, Corey Stewart, Dylan Bentley, Brooklynn Bentley, Xander Reed, and CJ Reed. Siblings remaining to mourn his passing are Eugene, Billy, Maynard, Deloris, and Richard along with a host of nephews and nieces.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Carl will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Bob Smallwood officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Saturday.
