Ceberd Lee Shrewsbury, 73, of Peak Ridge Road, Basin, died Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his home following a long illness, surrounded by his family.
Born December 13, 1947, at the old Monk Place in Basin. He was the son of the late Austin & Effie Mills Shrewsbury.
Ceberd was a proud coal miner, a dedicated father, son, and brother. He loved to hunt, cut wood & work with his hand building many items.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Donnie Shrewsbury, along with three siblings: Goldie Abner, Jack, and James Shrewsbury.
Those left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Kathy Arlene Mills Shrewsbury, three children, Michelle Shrewsbury Milam (Richard), Johnny Shrewsbury (Susie) & Malena McCormick (Travis), three grandchildren, Austin Shrewsbury, Brittany Crawford & Zachary McCormick. Four Siblings, Gracie Foley, Caroline Johnson, Ethel Gibson & Russell Shrewsbury (Debbie), along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 1, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Marvin Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchel-McKinney Cemetery, Peak Ridge Road, Basin. Friends may visit with the family Monday from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be family & Friends. Due to the Governor's mandate, masks and social distancing will be observed.
