David Vince Calvert, 62, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
He was the son of the late Harvey "Buck" Calvert and Madeline Ray Calvert.
Born May 29, 1954 in Beckley, West Virginia.
He was a retired coal miner. David found great joy in watching his grandchildren Jacob, Joshua and Brayden participate in wrestling, football and basketball. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed rafting the New River.
In addition to his parents, those preceding him in death is his brother-in-law, Michael Deweese; father-in-law, Lawrence Spade.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Diana Spade Calvert; son, Scott Calvert of Beckley; daughter, Amber Hart of Midway; grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Brayden Hart; sister, Diane Dewese of Crab Orchard; mother-in-law, Joyce Warren Spade; brothers-in-law, Larry Spade and wife Amy, Mark Spade and wife Joy of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Janis Allen and husband Richard of Mt. Hope; best friend, Mike Ray.
Friends may gather with the family Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 6 pm with Richard Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
