Dorothy Mae Evans Settle, 89, of Mossy, WV, died on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born January 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Garnett Toney Evans.

Dorothy was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Her husband, Leonard "Pee Wee" Oliver Settle, preceded her in death on Aug 11, 2006. She was also preceded by sons, Emil Lee Settle, Bruce Settle and Daniel Settle; brothers, Gene Evans and Gordon Evans; by her sisters Ruby Stevens and Betty Byrd and by her granddaughter, Becky Dodson, and her grandsons, Slaton Smith and Dylan Wriston.

Survivors include Velva (Hal) Walker of Louisville, KY, Dallas (Becky) Settle of Mossy, Dreama (Bob) Johns of Oak Hill, Rose Wriston of Beckley, Jimmy Settle of Mossy, Johnny (Terri) Settle of Oak Hill, Debbie (Bill) Settle of Winston-Salem, NC, and Tommy Settle; daughter-in-law, Jan Settle of Oak Hill; sisters, Shirley Byrd of Oak Hill and Hazel Roman of Bradley; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Services will be on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Rev. Richard Allen and Pastor Paul Basham officiating. Burial will be at Rinehart Cemetery, Mossy. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
