Harold D. 'Denny' Mills Obituary

Harold D. "Denny" Mills, 78, of Stephenson, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born September 20, 1942, in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Henry Mills & Loma Logsdon Mills.

He was a faithful member of the Basin Freewill Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing, but especially working in his garden. Denny was a former coal miner and retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education as a custodian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Ellen McKinney Mills along with two brothers Tom & Jim Mills and several half brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his three sons; Marvin Mills & wife Cynthia of Princeton, Scott Mills & wife Crystal of Tracy's Mountain, and Alan Mills & wife Catherine of Mullens; nine grandchildren, Amelia, Allison, Aaron, Annie, Douglas & wife Mackenzie, Morgan, Ryan, Kaitlyn & husband Zack, & Brooke; three great grandchildren, Corbin, Brinleigh, Hazel, & Maverick due later this year. Sister, Alberta McKinney of Stephenson.

Services to celebrate the life of Harold "Denny" Mills will be held 7:00 P.M. Saturday, June 19, 2021, from the Basin Freewill Baptist Church in Basin, with Evangelist Jerry Vance, Pastor Randy Lusk & Pastor Charles McKinney Jr. officiating. Graveside service will be held Sunday at 11:00 A.M. at the George Shrewsbury Family Cemetery on Barkers Ridge, those wishing to attend the service are requested to meet at the cemetery by service time. Friends may visit with family Saturday from 5:00P.M. until the service hour at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark & Larry Cook, Douglas Mills, Zack Raye, Robert Folden & Charles McKinney Jr.
