Helen Louise Diodoardo, 92, of Oak Hill, WV, died on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill.
Born July 10, 1926, at Mount Hope, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Roccario Diodoardo.
Helen was the retired owner of Helen's Grocery Store in Mount Hope. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill.
Preceding her in death were sisters, Anna Lancia, Josephine Janczewski, Rose Uliano, Nellie DeVivo, Elvira McLain, Lena Uliano, and Elizabeth Gualtieri; brother, Sam Dorado; and sister-in-law, Elsie Dorado.
Surviving are many nephews and nieces including Dr. Dominick McLain of Fayetteville, Fred J. McLain, Jr., of Oak Hill, Robert Dorado of Mount Hope, May Ann Carr of Oak Hill and Janet Yost of Proctorville, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Very Rev. Paul J. Wharton, V.F., officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
