Fairdale - Helen Ann Dishmon, 91, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2025. Helen was born on August 10, 1934, to the late Earl Hunter and Emma Turner Hunter. Helen was a member of Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church for many years. Helen enjoyed gardening, quilting, and canning. She had a green thumb and loved all types of flowers, especially orchids. Because of her abundant love of Jesus, she felt compelled to share her resources with many different charities and even fundraised for the charities that were dearest to her heart. Helen was a fan of baseball and always eager to cheer on her favorite team, the Cincinnati Reds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cleetus Dishmon. Two children: Cleetus Edward Dishmon Jr and Rebecca Cantley, and two sisters: Mary Jane and Janet. After the loss of her six-week-old infant son, Helen wrote the following, "If we could teach our children that the next life is as real as this one, even more real, dying would seem just as natural as living. Heaven is a real place, so is Hell"

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Emma Holt, John (Jane) Dishmon, Louvennia Dishmon, and Edward J. Dishmon. Eleven grandchildren: Andrew, Todd, John, Corey, Amanda, Jennifer, Nicky, Angela, Rhonda, Lori, and Annette. Seventeen Great-Grandchildren: Justin, Brittany, Kenny, Sophia, Duke, Hunter, Braxton, Layni, Annabelle, Cordelia, Elijah, Gus, Gabe, Asa, Betty, Josie, and Hailey. Two sisters which Helen shared a very special and unbreakable bond with: Sheila Stover, and Sharon Thompson, and a host of extended family and friends. To those who knew her, Helen was the embodiment of generosity and a steadfast work ethic - a shining example of grace, devotion, and strength.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am.
