James Ab Evans Obituary
James "Ab" Evans, 74, of Mount Hope passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Hilltop Center in Hilltop.
Born October 22, 1943 in Cirtsville, WV, he was son of the late John and Gracie Lester Evans.
Ab was a 1961 graduate of Mount Hope High School. He worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways, was a retired truck driver for the coal mines, a member of the UMWA, and was a faithful member of Packs Branch Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Alex Evans; father-in-law, Shirley Williams; and a sister-in-law, Mary Wriston.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Anita Williams Evans; mother-in-law, Dora Williams; sisters-in-law, Elaine Wriston, Shirley Dale Williams, and Florence Evans; brothers-in-law, Gary Williams and Dennis Williams; adopted granddaughter, Nancy Diane Jones and her family; nieces Lori, Amy, and Emily; and nephews, Jason, PJ, Jonathan, and Gary.
Graveside service with burial to follow will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Sam Vance officiating. There will be no visitation.
