NcRiss, West Virginia - Janice Marie Tignor, 83, of McRoss, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home, following a long illness.

Born December 31, 1940, in Rainelle, she was the daughter of the late William and Kathleen (Wheeling) Fleshman.

Janice was a 1958 graduate of Rupert High School. She was a devoted and loving mom and mamaw. Janice spent her time taking care of her family, her home, and others. Janice was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter Coronda Tignor; two brothers Jimmy and Billy Fleshman; two sisters Janet Sharp and Linda Huffman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Eugene "Bug" Tignor; one son Rocky Tignor of Rainelle; one daughter Tebbi Kirby (Emmett) of Rupert; two grandchildren Brandon Kirby (Autumn) of White Sulphur Springs; Tanna Kirby (Charles) of Woodbridge, Virginia; two step-grandchildren Daniel Kirby (Pam) of Lugoff, South Carolina and Robin Sheets (Thomas) of Danese; four step-great-grandchildren Ian and Gavin Kirby and Sydney and Luke Sheets; and a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Lee Harris officiating.

Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.

Friends may call one hour before the service from 1 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
