Jimmie Thomas Belcher, 86 of Summersville, passed away Sunday March 27, 2022 at his home.

He was the son of the late Emmett and Elizabeth "Beth" Heslep Belcher and was born at Red Sulphur August 12, 1935.

Jimmie was a retired equipment operator and member of the Summersville Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by one son-in-law Jim "JJ" Jackson and sister Geraldine McDaniel.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Wanda Dillon Belcher; daughters, Rebecca B. Case and Debra B. Jackson, both of Summersville; grandchildren, Angie (Dave) Johnson, Amanda (Eric) Workman and Matthew Case; great grandchildren, T.J., Audrey and Wyatt Johnson, Ava and Acen Workman; brother-in-law, Howard Dillon; sister-in-law, Rita (Jerry) Martin, and nephew, John (Ann) McDaniel.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday March 31st in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor's Dana Gatewood, Jerry Board and Mike Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from noon until service time on Thursday.
