Julia Paterson Obituary

Julia Paterson, beloved wife of Charles Paterson, went home to be with God on March 23, 2024.

Julia was born in Jumping Branch, West Virginia, to Zina and Ruby (Lilly) Basham. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was passionate about her family, helping others and was a dedicated nurse for over 20 years. She loved gardening, reading and, above all, spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by sons, J (Vickie) and Jeff (Anita), and stepdaughter, Susanne, five grandchildren, Lindsey, Kristian (Kristi), Michelle (Matthew), Jonathan and Betsy, as well as 2 great grandchildren, Alyssa and Lukas. She is also survived by her siblings, Delores, Mary and Dempsey.

Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents Zina and Ruby, stepson George and siblings, Eula, Leta and Edward.

She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel. A private family burial with Pastor Bill Fox officiating will follow afterwards.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
