Kathleen Gail Detamore Riffle, 67 of Fayetteville, formally of Blackwell, OK, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Bowyers Hospice House, Beckley surrounded by family.

She was born May 6, 1954, in Richwood, WV. The daughter of the late Paul and Barbara May Detamore. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Judith Boley; one son Sgt. William Curtis Riffle; grandson Cory Lovins; mother-in-law Stella Riffle; father-in-law Robert Riffle; brother-in-law Carl Boley; sisters-in-law Sheila Belmont and Ann Riffle.

Kathy was a loving, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her past time included fishing, hunting, gardening, sitting on her porch, and spending time with her family and friends. Including her special friend Betty Blume. Kathy also enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and family. Kathy is a 1973 graduate of Cowen High School and she was a Gold Star Mother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years William Lloyd "Bill" Riffle of the home; daughter and son-in-law Misty and Roy Lovins of Fayetteville; Grandchildren, Tracey Lovins of Fayetteville; Madison Robles, Jason Marek, and Casie Riffle of Texas; Sister Linda (Don) McCourt of Webster Springs; Brothers-in-law, Bob (Cheryl) Riffle of Parkersburg, Larry (Carolyn) Riffle of Cowen; Niece, Patricia (Fred) Cortes of Florida; Nephews, Scott (Pam) McCourt and Jeffery (Jenni) McCourt of Webster Springs, Jason Riffle of South Charleston, Paul Boley and companion Bridget Addair of Craigsville; two great nieces and nephews; Many extended friends and family.

Kathy donated her body to science and therefore a remembrance dinner will be held April 23 starting at 2:00 at the downstairs conference room at Eliott's located at the Quality Inn.
