Leslie H. "Hubie" Nichols, 73, of Pipestem, died Tuesday evening, June 5, 2018 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born July 22, 1944 at Pipestem, he was the son of the late Leslie Hubert Nichols and Margaret Blean Mann Nichols.

Hubie was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operator/Engineer Local Union #132 of Charleston.

He loved the outdoors, he especially enjoyed hunting & fishing. He always raised a garden each year, and each year he gave all his vegetables away to his family, neighbors and friends, just like when he would go fishing, he always had other people in mind, making sure everyone had something to eat.

Hubie will be remembered for having a huge heart, and a special place in his heart for kids.

Those left to cherish his memory, his three siblings; Mary and Paul Hill of Princeton, Bobby and Mary Jo Nichols of Jumping Branch, Millie M. Nichols-Ross of Monroe NC; and his fishing buddies, Jerry, Mark, and Homer.

The family has honored Hubie's request, his body has been cremated.

On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 7:00 P.M., we will celebrate Hubie's life in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Tracy French officiating. A time of sharing will take place from 6:00 P.M. Saturday until the service hour at the funeral home.
