Lori Ann Fisher Obituary

NDASH - Lori Ann Fisher, 52, of Dawson, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, February 26, 2023, in the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, following a long and hard fought battle.

Born July 31, 1970, in Ronceverte, she was the daughter of Homer and Mary (Knapp) Bryant of Dawson.

Lori was a 1988 graduate of Greenbrier West High School. She worked in the Greenbrier County Tax Office for 29 years where she made hundreds of friends and enjoyed the thousands of people she met. In 2001, she was saved and became a member of the Smoot Baptist Church.

Lori loved life! She loved her times at the beach and her time working and her time at church. Lori loved her people, especially her nephew, Brandon. He was the light of her life. She was proud to be a part of the NIH program and hoped that her time there would benefit others who were ill.

In addition to her parents and nephew, those left to cherish her memory and her spirit are her loving husband of 17 years, (together 33 years Brent Fisher; her loving sister Lois Holliday (Gene) of Grassy Meadows; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, in the Smoot Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeremy Nicholas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.

Friends may call Saturday, March 4, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Smathers Funeral Chapel and one hour before the service at the church on Sunday.
