Mary Phyllis Hess Obituary

Mary Phyllis Hess of Fayetteville, West Virginia left this life to be with Jesus on September 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born February 15 to Oral and Gertrude Harrah.

She loved cooking, going to the beach, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but always will be remembered as a gift from God and will live forever in our hearts and memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Winfield "Bill" Hess; son, William Michael Hess; brother, Shirley Harrah, and a sister, Phala Adkins.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Hess; daughters, Susan Lattanzi (Dale), Debbie Denoff (Mark), Joyce Gwinn (Bob), eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Wallace & Wallace, Ansted. Graveside services 1:30 p.m., Thursday at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor with Pastor Tim Vickers officiating

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Southern WV for their excellent care and love given to our precious mother.
