Norman Grant Jones, 74, of Quinwood, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 7, 1949, in Richwood, he was the son of the late Derward and Nina (Bittner) Jones.
Norman graduated from Richwood High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked in the coal mines and as a metal fabricator worker. He was an avid music lover and was known by many for his multi instrumental abilities. When he wasn't playing music, he was enjoying the outdoors with family and friends hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Meadow Bridge.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Judi and his sister Judy Thornton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years Patty (Foster) Jones; three sons Gregory Jones (Jackie), Eric Jones, and Barton Seal (Michelle); and one daughter Lorena Spencer (Shaun); sisters Wanda Bland, Lola Mattison, Maryann Haga, and brothers David Jones, and Eddie Jones; 11 grandchildren Alexis, Chandler, and Isabella Jones, Emma Deitz, Skyler Jones, Michael Spencer, Hunter, Ian, Madison, Connor, and Ireland Seal, and a host of extended family and friends.
As he requested, there will be no services and the body will be cremated.
