Princeton, WV - Paulette Elaine Ellison, 65, of Princeton passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 19, 1957, in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Homer Ray Withrow and Helen Marie Trail. Paulette made a career in the United States Military having served in the US Navy for most of her career before transitioning to the US Army National Guard. Paulette was a big fan of the Golden Girls. She loved her dog, Skylar, who was her constant companion for 12 years and she loved and lived for her two grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Virgil Ellison, Jr., and fiancée Kayla Ratliff of Princeton; two grandchildren, Virgil Ellison, III and Audrina Ellison both of Princeton; her furbaby and constant companion, Skylar; two sisters, Victoria Arthur and husband James of Goldsboro, NC and her twin sister, Patricia Hiser of Ellsworth, ME; special friends, Angie, and Margaret; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In keeping with Paulette's wishes she has been cremated. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM where the United States Army National Guard Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites at 4:30 PM.
