Robert David Richmond Sr., 85, of Chester, VA, passed away Saturday April 5, 2025, at his home following a long illness.

Born August 17, 1939 in Shady Spring, he was a son of the late Reno Howard and Orva Mae Meadows Richmond.

Robert served his country in the West Virginia National Guard and retired from Honeywell with 35 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Richmond; one son, William Samuel "Billy" Richmond; siblings, Shirley Elizabeth Keaton, Maxie Gene Richmond, and Patricia Gail Rothe.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Robert David Richmond Jr., and Sandra Denise Bolling and husband Mike; eight grandchildren, Joseph Matthew Richmond, Marily Denise O'Neil, Jennifer Neely, Willie Nutter, Logan Ray Richmond, Riley Beth Richmond, Amanda Dawn Ballengee, and Zachary Dylan Bolling; thirteen great grandchildren; siblings, Reno Glenn Richmond, Rita Mae Lowe, Warren Fuller Richmond, Rolfe Ashley Richmond and wife Kristene, Ralph Fulton Richmond and wife Janet, Audie Phil Richmond, and Michael Gregory Richmond and wife Deana, and numerous nephews and nieces.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
