Rainelle, West Virginia - Roger Dale McGuire, 77, of Rainelle, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 following a long illness.
Roger was born in Fayette County on September 26, 1947. He graduated from DuPont High School in Charleston, West Virginia. Roger is of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, was a great storyteller, and loved to mow grass.
Preceding Roger in death are his father, Lynn McGuire; his adoptive parents Sytha and Virgil McGuire; one sister, Anna Mae McGuire; and four brothers: Billy, Bobby, Teddy, and Ronnie McGuire.
Survivors include his life companion of 48 years Mona Buffington; one daughter, Sonja Manspile of Rupert; two step-children: Frank and Rich Buffington; two grandchildren, Tyler (Shawna) and Taylor Manspile of Rupert; one great-grandchild, Addy, of Rupert; and one sister, Carolyn McGuire.
A graveside service for Roger will be held at the Loudermilk Family Cemetery, in Clintonville, on Monday June 17th, 1:00 P.M. officiated by Pastor John Groves.
