West Virginia - Ruby Genieve Coburn Matherly, 87 of Furrow Lane, Lerona, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Bland Nursing and Rehab in Bastian, VA.

Born April 9, 1933 in Lerona, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Caperton Coburn.

Ruby was a devoted homemaker and loved watching the birds that visited her bird feeder. She attended the Pettry Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Matherly, an infant daughter Andrea Dawn Matherly, five brothers, Charlie, Harold, Junior, Robert and Darrell Coburn and one sister, Zona Begil.

Survivors include three loving children, Brenda Dunbar, Bonita Simpson and husband Mike and Randall Matherly and wife Carolyn. Five grandchildren, Katrina Dobroski and husband Mike, Greg Atkinson and wife Angela, Katie Huffstickler and husband Sam, K.C. Matherly and wife Lilja and Kelly Simpson; four great-grandchildren, Brennen, Finn and Ruby Atkinson and Drew Huffstickler; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton, with Minister George Taylor officiating.

There will be no services at the funeral home.

Due to the Governor's mandate, masks and social distancing, will be observed.
