Sandra Kaye Wood, 78, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at her residence.

Born November 26, 1945, in Ashland, KY, she was the daughter of the late Millard Stewart and Mildred Juanita Stewart.

Before retirement Sandra worked as the billing supervisor for Jan-Care Ambulance. Sandra loved to travel. She was always able to make anyone laugh and was the funniest person you could know.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wood; one brother, Larry Stewart; one sister, Lynne Godby; and two grandsons, Paul Kizer and John Kizer. She is survived by one son, Roman J. Stalka of Johnson City, TN; two daughters, Dawn Matherly and husband Darrell of Shady Spring, WV, and Aprile Wood and wife Katelyn Foster of Beckley, WV; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mike Stewart and wife Deanna of Burnsville, WV, and Doug Stewart and wife Shirley of Ashland, KY; special friend, David Dawson of Charleston, WV; and her three beloved yorkies, Paris, Bella, and Dolly.

In keeping with Sandra's wishes she has been cremated and there will be no services.
