Bluewell, West Virginia - Shirley Jean Goode, 82, of Bluewell, died Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 1, 1937, at Glen Morrison, she was the daughter of the late John William Dowell and Opal Irene Stewart Dowell.

Shirley was a graduate of Pineville High School and had retired from First Community Bank as a computer operator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Leslie Irene Goode, and six siblings, Mary Ann Dowell, Alma June Bridges-O'Conner, Mary Francis Harry, John William Dowell Jr., Stewart Thomas Dowell and Carl Matthew Greene.

Those left to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Charles Goode;

Two daughters, Teresa Dawn Smith and husband Ty,

Cindy Ann Mullins;

Three grandchildren, Jennifer Dawn Graham and husband Frank, Matthew Todd Mullins, Tanner Jacob Hamilton and fiancée Kristen Osborne;

One great-grandchild, Charley Jean Graham;

One sister Peggy Ann Tracy and husband Butch.

Services to celebrate the life of Shirley Goode will be held at Noon, Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Deliverance Temple Church, Bluewell, with Pastor David Kirby and her son-in-law Ty Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at the church. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com. Following her service, a meal will be provided for her family and friends at the church.
