Travis "Leon" Cline, 54, of Rockhouse, WV, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, following complications from a long term illness.

He was of the Christian faith.

Leon was born September 18, 1962, in Welch, WV, a son of the late Dall and Chrystal Deskins Cline. He was a retired coal miner of 27 years. Leon was an avid sports fan and knew facts and stats of the players and coaches like no other. He was a huge history buff, and loved fishing and being at the lake. Leon will be remembered for his love of hosting the old fashioned style family bonfires. He had a heart of gold and a smile that touched the hearts of anyone who ever witnessed it.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents Dall and Chrystal Cline of Baileysville (Rockhouse) WV.

Survivors of the home include wife Pam (Porter) Cline; youngest daughter, Alexandra Cline; one son Travis Austin Cline; oldest daughter Contessa Cline Browning and son in law Keith Browning. Other survivors include two brothers, Allan Cline (Drema) of Pineville, WV, Kendall Cline of Rockhouse, WV; one sister Vanessa Cline Justice and brother in law Jamie of Lexington, KY; and two nieces Katelyn and Emily Justice of Lexington, KY.

Leon will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, October 7, 2016 at 1 pm, with Reverend James Cline and Reverend Sammy Lester officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Cline Family Cemetery at Rockhouse, WV.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Thomas, Randy Toler, Dennis Lester, Keith Browning, Travis Morgan and Jeff Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Thomas, Willis Lester, Glen Riffe and Rodney Cline.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening, October 6, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.
