Beckley, - William Howard " Big Bill" Miller age 82 of Beckley, WV passed away at Beckley Health Care Center in Beckley, WV on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Born on May 12, 1943 in Kingston, WV, he was the son of the late Wiley Miller and Mary Painter Miller.

Big Bill, as he was known by his grandson Seth, was a graduate of WV Tech in Montgomery, WV, and held a Masters Plumbing and Electrician License. He had worked for the coal mines, where he worked as an electrician. Bill retired as a maintenance engineer at the Gene Spadaro Juvenile Center at Mount Hope, WV.

He was a member of the Beckley Church of God, and enjoyed flowers, woodworking, and doing handyman chores around his home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Miller; by brothers Jack Miller and Boone Miller; by sisters Stella Allen, Ruby Thomas and Geneva Worley; by a daughter CathySullivan and her husband Ron Sullivan.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife 21 years, Shirley Ann Robinson Miller; children, Rusty Robinson of Hawaii, Chris Robinson and wife Dorenna of Beckley, and Shawn Sullivan and wife Andrea of Crab Orchard; grandchildren Amanda Robinson, Rusty Robinson II, Dustin Robinson, Seth Robinson, Grace Sullivan, and Ian Sullivan; great grandchildren Juniper Stewart, Savannah and Lillie Ewing, Sadie Robinson, Loclan Robinson, and Cyrus Robinson; a nephew Roger Hughes and wife Kim, a niece Ruby Payne and husband Albert; brothers-in-law James Thomas and Larry Worley.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Bishop Harold Newsome officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
