William "Butch" Jennings Whitlock Jr., 74, of Oak Hill, WV, died on Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home.
Born December 23, 1943 at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late William Jennings Whitlock Sr. and Dolly M. Ross Whitlock.
Butch was a longtime member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. He was a 1961 graduate of Mount Hope High School and a 1969 graduate of WV Tech. At one time he was active in the Jaycess, having served as president. He was US Postal Service employee retiring as Post Master at Sophia.
His memory will be cherished by wife, Janice Dempsey Whitlock; son, Stephen Douglas Whitlock and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Riley Frances Whitlock, and Bridget Mary Whitlock; step grandson, Dan Wickens, and sister, Melissa Jane Charnabay and husband, Jay.
A private committal service was held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Dr. Ken Krimmel officiating. Entombment followed.
